99WNRR pushes through pandemic and announces 7th Annual 36-Hour Radiothon, cancer benefit.

In March of this year, 99WNRR had to make the tough decision to postpone their 7th annual 36-hour radiothon / autism benefit due to the pandemic lock down happening at that time. They are pleased to announce they have redirected their energies for a new 36-hours radiothon to benefit two amazing all-volunteer organizations, October 30 through November 1st.

The event is a LIVE 36-hour radiothon with LIVE HOSTS from around the world taking requests for donations. The beneficiaries for this benefit are David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation and The Children’s Air Ambulance. 100% of all the proceeds will be split between these two organizations. There is also a tribute page where supporters may place a picture with a dedication as a tribute to those who have fought and continue to fight cancer.

Station owner Michael Presti is a patient advocate for David’s Dream, as he has been in his own battle against leukemia for the past 6 years. “There was a moment during my treatment when I needed a special medication and to see a special doctor. The insurance company was not covering a major portion of the bill. David’s Dream stepped in and not only helped with some of the fees, but through their service arms, I was able to schedule therapeutic massages and dinner for my family. They realize that the stress is not just mine in battling leukemia.” “While I still have energy, I am going to do all I can too give back”.

The Radiothon will begin at 12pm with Michael aka RTFX his radio alter ego. Each 99WNRR host will have a 3-hour show that is dedicated to take your requests for donations that can be made through the stations website. Michael also hosts a podcast on his Facebook page called the RTFX life which is an open and honest account of his battle with leukemia. Michael is a husband of 23 years to his wife Christine and father to 3 amazing children.

There are special packages for those who donate over $50. and a tribute section on the website where you can post a picture and memory of a loved one for $20. 100% of all money collected will go directly to the beneficiaries.
