Industrial rock pioneers Nine Inch Nails have officially reentered the spotlight with the announcement of their TRON: Ares soundtrack — their first new music as a band in over five years, and their first-ever film score under the Nine Inch Nails moniker. The soundtrack drops September 19 via Interscope Records, just weeks ahead of the highly anticipated release of TRON: Ares in U.S. theaters on October 10.

Though frontman Trent Reznor and longtime collaborator Atticus Ross are no strangers to film scoring — with two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, an Emmy, and a GRAMMY under their belts — TRON: Ares represents a major creative evolution. This is Nine Inch Nails in full, unfiltered form, using the TRON universe as a canvas for their most viscerally charged work in years.
